The Fantastic, Never Ending Journey Of Searching For Jobs Online
I’m about to be a sophomore in college and this summer I needed to make as much cash as possible, so I turned to the internet to look for job openings in my area. I realise I’m not going to be working in pharmaceutical employment or anything skilled given my lack of experience but I thought I could land a half-decent job.
Every day for weeks I checked Craigslist, where I found a ton of listings. I made phone calls, sent out a ton of e-mails, and had a few interviews before I finally found something. The job didn’t offer a lot of hours so I looked for addition work I could do online, at home. I visited chacha.com to see about answering questions for their cell phone service. After jumping through some hoops for them (i.e. watching silly videos and taking tests) I finally became a ChaCha guide. It’s a small job I can do from home whenever I want. It’s a good way to make a few extra dollars to help pay for books and whatnot for school. Also, I somehow stumbled upon Amazon Mechanical Turk, which hooks you up with lots of little jobs for anything between pennies to a few dollars apiece. Again, this has been a good way to make a few extra dollars for college, and I can do it whenever I feel like working!
